We provide new and refurbished electronic devices to students in rural schools who have limited access to technology. Alongside these resources, we offer digital literacy training that covers basic computer science skills and internet safety. In today’s world, technology skills are essential, yet many rural children lack opportunities to learn and practice them. Our goal is to bridge this educational gap by equipping students with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to explore computer science while acquiring skills that prepare them for future opportunities. 

We work closely with rural schools to support and enhance their English programs. Through research and interviews with many schools, we identified key challenges to students’ English proficiency: limited opportunities to practice, difficulty learning and applying vocabulary, and, most importantly, low motivation to learn English. To address these, we collaborate with teachers in rural schools to improve curricula by designing new lesson materials and interactive classroom activities that support vocabulary retention and application. Additionally, we host long-term online classes and camps, providing students with extra opportunities to practice English and fostering motivation through fun and engaging activities. 

We partner with schools to provide students in remote rural communities with opportunities to experience urban environments and explore new perspectives. Through conversations with local teachers and principals, we learned about their concern that because these students live far away from cities (often requiring hours of travel even to reach the nearest convenience store), they rarely have the chance to visit urban areas and therefore do not consider the possibilities of exploring different fields and careers. Through field trips and mentorship, we help these students gain exposure to diverse lifestyles, careers, and educational pathways. We aim to broaden horizons, inspire curiosity, and empower all students to pursue their aspirations.
